Before you join

Install the modpack first.

Mount & Craft runs on a custom modpack. You must download it through Technic Launcher before you can join the server. A regular Minecraft install will not connect.

  1. Get Technic Launcher

    Download and install the free Technic Launcher, then sign in with your Minecraft account.

  2. Install Mount & Craft

    Open the Mount & Craft modpack page and click Install, or search “Mount & Craft” in the launcher’s Modpacks tab.

  3. Launch and join

    Hit Play on the modpack in Technic Launcher, go to Multiplayer and add the server below.

Always launch Minecraft from the Mount & Craft modpack in Technic Launcher. Keep the modpack updated in the launcher when a new version comes out, or the server will turn you away.

How to play

One sword is a skirmish. An army is a war.

Mount & Craft is a geopolitical sandbox. You play alongside other people, and the land is won by whoever brings the better army.

  1. Raise a warband

    Recruit followers and build a fighting force that follows you into the field.

  2. Drill them

    Train recruits into real soldiers: infantry, archers and cavalry who hold a line.

  3. Join a faction

    Sign up with an existing faction, or found your own and set its banner.

  4. Conquer settlements

    March your army on towns and castles, take them and hold them against rivals.

Play together

Factions are built from real players: allies, rivals and the politics between them.

Command, don’t just fight

Formation and numbers decide battles. Lone heroes get overrun.

Make your own place

Pick a spot in the geopolitical map and carve out your own power.

The mod

Ride, fight, hold the line.

The feel of a medieval battlefield inside Minecraft: horses under you, steel in hand, a drilled army at your back and a world that is always at war.

  • Mounted combat

    Charge in on horseback with a lance, or dismount and fight on foot with sword and shield.

  • Armour and arms

    Chainmail, plated shoulders and helms, with spears, maces, swords and bows to go with them.

  • Castles and towns

    Walled towns with gatehouses, stables and training grounds with archery targets.

  • A world at war

    Rival factions with their own towns, castles and armies, and the wars between them.

The realm of Calradia

Join a faction, or make one.

Six kingdoms hold the map and three wars are already burning. Pick one to see who it is fighting, swear to a side, or found a faction of your own and take your place in the fight.
